This category covers the practical arithmetic around vehicles, loads and site logistics — the calculations that decide whether something fits, whether it can be moved legally, and how many trips it takes. They are simple individually and are usually got wrong in the same way: by working from volume when the binding constraint is weight.

Weight limits, not capacity, govern most of these problems. A skip filled with rubble reaches its limit at roughly half its volume; a trailer rated for a load may still exceed its axle rating once the load is placed badly. Where a page has both a volume and a weight constraint, it reports which of the two is actually binding rather than answering only the one you asked about.
