Cookies and browser storage
Most of what this site remembers is not a cookie. The distinction matters, because the two are treated very differently in law and in practice.
Storage that is not a cookie
Your projects, calculator inputs, presets, theme and market preference are held in localStorage and IndexedDB. These are not cookies: they are never attached to a network request, so they cannot be read by us or by anyone else. They exist purely so the site can remember your work.
This is why the site functions fully whether or not you accept cookies. Nothing you use depends on one.
Strictly necessary
A record of your consent choice, so you are not asked on every page. Set by the consent management platform, and required for the consent mechanism itself to work.
Advertising and analytics
Set only after you consent, and only where advertising or analytics is configured on this installation. These are third-party cookies from Google, used to select and measure advertising and to count page views.
Declining leaves the site fully functional. Where advertising is shown to a visitor who has declined, it is non-personalised — chosen from page context rather than from anything about you.
Changing your mind
Use the consent link in the footer to reopen the preferences panel at any time. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser, which resets both the consent record and everything the site had remembered.
