Half the questions in construction are not “how much do I need” but “which one” — tile or vinyl, metal or shingles, tank or tankless. These pages take each decision apart into the factors that actually differ: how each option fails, what it demands of the substrate, the climate and the owner, and which situations settle the question before taste gets a vote.
What you will not find is a price per square metre. Published averages are wrong for almost every real project, so each page says which side of the cost is structural — where labour dominates, where the hidden layer is — and then hands you both calculators to run your own dimensions against your own quotes.
