Carbon and compliance calculations are only as good as their emission factors, and this is the category where a plausible-looking number does the most damage. Factors here are editable inputs with typical published ranges offered for orientation, never fixed constants — the spread between two suppliers of nominally identical concrete routinely exceeds thirty percent, which is larger than most of the savings people go looking for.
Each page also states its assessment boundary, because most disagreements about a carbon figure turn out to be disagreements about scope. Cradle-to-gate excludes transport, construction, use and end of life; location-based and market-based electricity accounting give different answers for the same building. Neither is wrong, and reporting one while describing the other is.
