Convert to volume and divide by the specified thickness. Do not stretch it thinner to cover more area — screed below its minimum thickness cracks and fails, which costs far more than the extra material.
Can screed go on any floor?
Not without checking the loading. Traditional screed is heavy, and adding it to an existing suspended floor is a structural question rather than a finishing one.
