Molded outside corners, inside corners and end caps are separate items, and they are what finishes a return cleanly — a site-cut miter in an anodized or powder-coated profile leaves a raw cut edge on show at the exact corner everyone looks at. Count corners and stops off the drawing alongside the linear total.

  • Boards, blocks and bagged material cause most lasting back injuries on small sites: two people or a lifter for full sheets, and never a bag on one shoulder up a ladder.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which profile size to order?
From the tile plus its bed, not the tile alone. The profile's leg has to finish flush with the tile face, so the size is the tile thickness plus the notched adhesive under it — commonly two to three millimetres more once the tile is beaten in, and more over an uneven substrate. Order to the bare tile thickness and the profile stands proud, catching a mop and a toe; order too generous and the tile sits below the leg, leaving a lip that holds water on a shower kerb. It is also why the profile is one of the last things to choose rather than one of the first: the bed is not known until the substrate is, and unlike a trim poured into a floor it can still be swapped the morning it goes in.
Where is edge profile trim typically used?
Edge profile (also called tile trim or edge protection) covers exposed tile edges that would otherwise be left as raw, unfinished cut edges — common locations include outside corners, transitions to another flooring material, and the exposed top edge of a tiled curb or step.
Why does the waste allowance matter for a linear trim strip?
