The spacer bar runs continuously around the edge of the sealed cavity between the two glass lites of an IGU, so the material needed per unit is its perimeter — 2×(width+height) — multiplied by however many units are being fabricated.

No — this calculates the base perimeter length needed per unit times the batch count. Add your own allowance for corner key offcuts, joint overlaps, and fabrication scrap on top of this total.
