- The 32 sq ft per sheet is the North American 4 x 8 ft board and it is fixed — it does not follow the site's unit switch. A metric merchant supplies the 2400 x 1200 mm sheet at 2.88 m², a shade over 31 sq ft, so a metric job converted at 32 reads about 3% high.
- This is nominal coverage with no cutting. The area a delivery actually boards is less, because every opening, corner and ceiling perimeter produces offcut that is not reused.
