Why does the calculator round up to the next whole stall?
A partial stall isn't usable, so the row length is divided by the stall width and rounded up (ceil) to the whole stall count that actually fits — the last stall will simply use whatever leftover length remains within the usable row length.
What counts as 'usable' row length?
It's the clear length along the row that is actually available for striping stalls — after subtracting space taken up by curbs, corner clearances, driveway cuts, or obstructions like utility poles, not the raw overall lot dimension.
Does this account for accessible (ADA) stalls or aisle widths?
No — this only lays out standard stalls along a single row length. Accessible stall dimensions, access aisles, and drive aisle widths are separate site design requirements that should be checked against your local code and ADA/PROWAG standards.
