How is the total horizontal length calculated?
At the maximum 1:12 slope, the sloped run length is 12 times the total rise. This calculator adds the length of every required intermediate landing (60 inches / 1.524m each, per Section 405.7) to that sloped-run length to get the total horizontal footprint.
